Exotic Lacquers - Thermals

Press Sample

Greetings! Today, I have some thermals from Exotic Lacquers to share with you! If you are unfamiliar with thermal polishes, they change color depending on the temperature of your hands. How fun is that?

All swatches were topped with my go-to top coat: Gem Glam Top Coat by Dream Polish. Now, let's get to those swatches!

"Black Diamonds" is black in its cold state and gray in its warm state with a super fine silver shimmer visible in both the warm and cold shifts. Shown here in three thin coats. The transition in this polish is so striking and gorgeous, so of course, it is my absolute favorite! Not to mention, it combines two of my favorite colors into one fun polish!

"Pink Diamonds" is dark pink in its cold state and light pink in its warm state with super fine silver shimmer. Shown here is two smooth coats. This polish transitioned very easily, and my bottle tends to stay in the warm state.

"TWERK ur TURQ" is a turquoise blue it its cold state and a slightly lighter shade of turquoise in its warm state with a super fine silver shimmer. In this transitional picture, the shift is only slightly evident. Shown here is two easy coats. Although the color change is not drastic, this polish is very beautiful.

"Mango Bananas" is a rich and gorgeous orange in its cold state and a sunny yellow in its warm state filled with metallic gold micro flakes. The transition to yellow was in great contrast with the orange; however, my hands were super cold when I swatched this and nothing seemed to warm them up enough for me to catch a good transition picture before they started to fade back to orange. Shown here is three thin coats. I really love the added sparkle afforded by the gold flakes. They compliment the colors of this polish excellently.

"Blue Diamonds" is dark blue in its cold state and a pale sky blue in its warm state with a super fine silver shimmer. Show here is two smooth coats. This one had a nice stark transition. Of course, by this time, my hands had warmed up and keeping the tips cool for a transition picture was a challenge. My hands were revolting against me I suppose.

This picture shows mostly the cold transition with just a hint of the warm transition starting near the cuticles.

Thermals are a great option especially when you don't have a lot of spare time to change your polish. Depending on how variable your body temperature is, especially in your hands, thermals provide a variety of looks with no effort on your part. If you are like me, your hands run hot and cold all day long, which makes for an ever-changing manicure.
"Black Diamonds" was my absolute favorite from this set of thermals. There is a little something for everyone here in the variety of colors as well as the varying contrasts in the transitions.
