Pinwheel Polish - Oils, Bath Bombs, and Mani Fizzies

 Purchased by Me

Greetings! Today, I have a long overdue post about some products I purchased from Pinwheel Polish this summer.

I am always up for trying new indies, and when I saw Pinwheel Polish was offering free shipping on purchases of $10 or more for the 4th of July, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to give it a try! Truthfully, her regular prices were already so reasonable, free shipping was just the icing on the cake! I was so pleased with the scents Janna had to offer because, as many of you know, this was the summer of citrus scents for me. Truthfully, I am still not over my citrus scent obsession either. To satisfy my citrus desire I ordered two lemon lime bath bombs, lime cuticle oil, and lemon cuticle oil. Janna is such a sweetie, she threw in some Spa La La scented mani fizzeis for free! How awesome is that!?

First, let's talk about cuticle oil! I can never get enough cuticle oil in my life, and I was excited to see lime scented cuticle oil, which I had yet to encounter in my search for citrus cuticle care products. These oils smell so clean and crisp, I can't go over how much I love them! The scents are literally perfect. They soaks in at a nice happy medium speed, not too fast, not too slow, and they are very effective.

The lemon lime bath bombs were red, white, and blue for 4th of July, and just look so cute! And, can I just say how lovely the packaging is! I haven't gotten the chance to try this baby out, but I am so looking forward to it! Since I bought two, I plan to send one to my Mama so she can enjoy a nice citrusy bath as well!

The Spa La La scent is described as an inviting fresh, soapy scent. I would say that description is spot on! The smell was very soothing. The mani fizzies were in the shape of round tabs with a swirl print on the top. I used one of these the day my package arrived, and it was bliss! It left my hands so soft, which I followed with some of the lemon cuticle oil for some extra moisturizing. After I soaked my hands, I recycled the water to soak my feet, which left them soft as well!

So, long story short, I am beyond happy with my purchase! The scents were all awesome, the packaging was so cute and thoughtful, and the extra goodies were a wonderful surprise! If you haven't given Pinwheel Polish a try, I highly recommend that you do! Janna is currently offering a discount in celebration of her birthday, so be sure to check Pinwheel Polish out on social media for the discount code. She is also hosting a giveaway on Instagram, so give her a follow and be sure to enter. But wait, there's more! If you are in on the wax melt craze (I totally would be if my husband didn't hate candles and smells so much, haha.) then you are in for a treat because Janna is now making and selling those too in a variety of fun scents!

I feel that it is more important than ever to share all the good experiences we have with independent polish/cuticle care/body care/cosmetics makers out there in light of the recent events in the indie community. One bad apple shouldn't be allowed to spoil the beautiful trust we place in the indie community as a whole. There are many amazing makers out there, and I, for one, will continue to support and love this little indie world that I enjoy so much!

Artificial Light
Terra Firma is described as a holographic brown to green duochrome filled with small gold flakes. Shown here is two easy coats. You can really see the green shift in the macro below. In direct sunlight, this polish looks like a deep chocolatey brown, and the holo is just stunning! Like the name suggests, this is a great earthy tone.

So Many Activities! is described as a mint creme with a subtle holographic shimmer filled color shifting flakes. Shown here is two coats. Can we just take a minute to appreciate the name of this polish? I mean, Step Brothers is probably one of the best movies ever. I love it! And this polish is super lovely!

Fergi and Jesus is described as a purple creme with a subtle holographic shimmer filled color shifting flakes. Shown here is two coats. Color4Nails - piCture pOlish Selections

Press Sample

Greetings! Today, I have four piCture pOlish beauties available from Color4Nails. Color4Nails carries 82 different piCture pOlish shades which is awesome! I've always wanted to try piCture pOlish, so I was super excited to review these babies!

All swatches were topped with a coat of Gem Glam Top Coat purchased from Dream Polish for a glossy finish. Now, let's get to these stunners!

Bardot is described as a french baby pink scattered holographic polish. Shown here is two smooth and easy coats. This polish is stunning! It is a gorgeous neutral shade, but the touch of holo makes it fun and fancy!

Allure is described as a magenta scattered holographic polish and has a richly pigmented creamy/crelly-like formula. Shown here is two perfectly easy coats, but it could certainly be a one-coater. I am in love with this polish! It is so bold and bright. Despite its rich pigmentation, I have no staining issues to report, which is always a plus!

Minty is described as a pastel blue/green jelly filled with multi-sized coral and white hex glitter and scattered holo. I would personally call this more of a crelly because of the opacity of the polish. Shown here is two coats easy coats. So minty!

Magic is described as a rose gold scattered holographic jelly. To me, this feels more like a taupe creme with scattered holo and a strong pink shimmer in some light and gold shimmer in others. Shown here is two easy coats, but this could be opaque in one heavier coat. This polish is so sparkly and looks different in different lights. It is truly magical!

Holy guacamole. These polishes are amazing! Fantastic formulas, beautiful compositions, and just uniquely beautiful! I am definitely going to have to snag some more piCture pOlish beauties from Color4Nails in the future!

Color4Nails - Ella + Mila Selections

Press Sample

Greetings! Today, I have a few Ella + Mila selections available from Color4Nails to share with you! Color4Nails is an indie stockest that carries many domestic and international brands and offers worldwide shipping.

All swatches were topped with a coat of Gem Glam Top Coat purchased from Dream Polish for a glossy finish. Now let's get to these creamy beauties!

Samba Beats is a minty green creme polish. Shown here is two easy coats. Such a pretty shade!

Sweet Tooth is a vibrant coral pink creme polish. Shown here is two easy coats. Sweet Tooth is so rich and beautiful, and it is certainly my favorite out of these selections.

Sugar Fairy is a soft taupe creme polish filled with a delicate white shimmer. Shown here is two coats. This is a lovely neutral shade!

Pretty in Pink is a delicate pink crelly polish. Shown here is three coats. This one was not as creamy as the other three with more of a crelly formula, as a result, three coats were needed for opacity. Despite that, I find this such a soft, gorgeous color.

I had never tried Ella + Mila, but it was definitely a good experience! Color4Nails carries so many new-to-me brands, which is awesome! All four of these polishes are available now from Color4Nails.

SinfulColors - Back to School Collection: A Class Act

Press Sample

Greetings! Today, I have ten selections from SinfulColors' Back to School Collection: A Class Act to share with you! This collection is available now through September at Walgreens and many other mass retailers and can be purchased for $1.99 each.

As some of these polishes have a fun demi-matte finish, not all swatches include top coat. I will note in the description which polishes were topped with top coat. Now, let's get started!

Blackboard is described as a demi-matte chalkboard black. Shown here is two coats without top coat. I fell instantly in love with this demi-matte finish. It is a nice waxy matte finish that looks just awesome! The formula on this one, as well as a few of the other demi-mattes, is similar to that of a jelly/crelly polish in that it is not 100% opaque like a creme polish would be.

Whiteboard is described as a demi-matte chalk white. Shown here is two coats without top coat. The formula on this demi-matte was more creamy and opaque compared to Blackboard. Again, totally loving this finish and you really can't beat a clean, white polish.

Pink Break is described as a demi-matte peachy-pink. Shown here is two coats without top coat. Pink Break had a more creamy formula like Whiteboard. This is such a soft feminine shade.

Truth or Lavendare is described as a demi-matte creamy lavender. Shown here is two coats without top coat. Truth or Lavendare fell in with Whiteboard and Pink Break formula-wise. As someone with an undying love for purple, I adore this polish! It's such a soft pastel shade!

Hazed is described as demi-matte subdued violet. Shown here is two coats without top coat. The formula on Hazed has that jelly/crelly-like formula that Blackboard does. Another gorgeous purple!

RADient is described as a demi-matte vibrant raspberry. Shown here is two coats without top coat. RADient had the most jelly-like formula and was the least opaque out of the demi-matte polishes that I tried. It is still very pretty despite the fact that you can see a slight nail line beneath the two coats of polish.

Chalk It Up is described as a demi-matte saturated pistachio green. Shown here is two coats without top coat. This had a more creamy, opaque formula like Whiteboard, Pink Break, and Truth or Lavendare. I am not usually a huge fan of light greens, but I really do love this one. I think everything looks awesome with a demi-matte finish.

Casablanca is described as a creamy metallic silver. Shown here is one coat topped with Gem Glam Top Coat by Dream Polish. Yes, you heard correctly, one coat! Due to the metallic finish, you do have to be extremely mindful of your brush strokes, but I think that is a worthy sacrifice for a one-coater.

Summer S-Cool  is described as a robin's egg blue creme. Shown here is two coats topped with Gem Glam Top Coat by Dream Polish. How gorgeous is this shade!? This is probably the prettiest mainstream blue creme polish that I own.

Fig is described a glistening plum and has a lovely shimmer. Shown here is one coat topped with Gem Glam Top Coat by Dream Polish. Yet another perfect one-coater! Plus, it's purple! What could be better than a purple one-coater?

The formulas on all ten of these polishes were nice and easily workable. The only one that required extra attention was Casablanca due to its finish. My top picks for this collection include Blackboard, Summer S-Cool, Whiteboard, and Truth or Lavendare. As mentioned above, SinfulColors' Back to School Collection: A Class Act is available for $1.99 now through September at many mass retailers.
